Keep Your Bath Tiles Spotless with These Simple Tips

Bathroom tiles are one of the essential features of a bathroom. If they are not clean, then they will quickly turn black and grimy! After investing so much time and money into getting such lovely bath tiles, this is the last thing you want. Thankfully, it is effortless for you to take steps towards keeping them clean. Here are some simple steps to help you keep your tiles looking spotless with minimal effort.

1. Clean Up Messes Right When They Happen

Although bath tiles are one of the least likely places to get spills, you will inevitably get some water on them. When left alone, this will grow mold and other nasty stuff. If you have bath tiles that look dirty in a particular area, then clean them up right away. This way, the dirt and water molecules will not have time to soak in and spread across your bath tiles and into your grout.

If you ever spill something onto your bath tiles, you should clean this up as quickly as possible. Immediate cleaning is necessary to keep them looking spotless and preventing mold from growing on your bath tiles and causing permanent damage to the grout that will need to be redone.

2. Clean Bath Tiles After Every Use

After every bath or shower, quickly wipe down the bath tiles before allowing them to dry. This will remove any water droplets or moisture from your bath tiles, ensuring that spots do not form on them. Wait for bath tiles to completely dry before using the bath again to avoid water droplets over the bath mat and floor.

The more you can clean up your tiles, the more likely you will keep them looking nice and new. In addition to wiping down your tiles, make sure to continually look at the grout and around the mother of pearl tile itself to see if there are

3. Use a Mild Detergent with Tile Cleaner

It would help if you looked for a bath tile cleaner that has a mild detergent along with it. You want a cleaner that can clean the bath tiles without causing any damage to them or their grout lines. If you are using something powerful, then your bath tiles could be damaged by it!

If you have ever seen someone cleaning bathroom tiles but not scrubbing them, this was likely a harsh bath tile cleaner. It would help if you were looking for bath tiles with a mild detergent and cleanser, or chemicals used to get rid of mold, dirt, and minor stains.

For best results, try to use a mild bath tile cleaner and will work great for cleaning bath tiles. Try to research the manufacturer of your tiles to see what kind of cleaners will work the best.

4. Sweep up Hair Around the Shower Each Day

Hair that accumulates around bath tiles and mother of pearl tile can quickly become a huge problem. Over the course of just one day, you could have hundreds or even thousands of strands fall onto your bath mats! Hair is very easy to clean up with a vacuum cleaner or broom, so do not let this take over your bathroom.

This is also a great way to help keep your tiles clean, as hair is dirty and can carry dirt and tiny germs onto bath tiles. Therefore, view your hair as one of the possible culprits for tile damage. Don't let your tiles get covered in hair, as this could make them dirty over time. Make sure to sweep up all the hair every day so that your tiles can stay clean and fresh for years to come.

5. Use a Toothbrush to Clean Around the Tiles

Sometimes bath tiles can be hard to reach with either your hand or a cleaning brush. If you are having trouble reaching them, then use an old toothbrush that has lost its bristles. You should not have any problems getting into small places with this old tool!

This is an excellent way for bath tile owners who have issues with their bath mat looking dirty. Use an old toothbrush that has lost its bristles, scrub bath mats, shower walls, and bathroom flooring until it looks new again!

6. Keep a Sharp Eye for Mold

As we briefly discussed, you need to be proactive when it comes to mold. If you see any bath tiles growing mold, make sure to clean these as quickly as possible. You should look at the grout lines surrounding your bath mat and flooring to determine whether there is a little mold stain within them. If so, it will be necessary to clean these bath tiles and grout lines.

You should watch for mold because it can grow fast, especially if you do not clean bath mats and shower walls. If you see any spots developing on your bath mat or flooring, then make sure to scrub them as soon as possible!

7. Try Cleaning with Vinegar and Water

Vinegar is a great bath tile cleaner because it does not have any harsh chemicals in it. It will work just as well, if not better than many of the products you would buy from the store! Be sure to mix equal parts of water and vinegar before using them on your bath tiles.

You may be thinking, why would I want to use vinegar as a bath tile cleaner? Vinegar is very easy for bath tile owners to clean with because it will not have any harsh chemicals. Try washing your bath mats and mother of pearl tile with equal parts water and white vinegar!
